There's a brotherhood here that the hipster scene of other coffee shop folk artists (a "scene" Reign Garden avoids) won't allow themselves to embrace. And there's a unity here that other DSBM (Depressive Suicidal Black Metal) artists like Sar Nath wouldn't allow their hermetic and ghoulish selves to embrace!
Do you feel like you're too different to be alone? Wanna find more deep, maniacal, and friendly freaks like yourself? Want to completely be accepted as yourself? Open your minds to East Texas' next musical revolution! Red District features everything from post-hardcore, to tasty and groovy thrash, to the aforementioned overlooked art-forms...and everything in-between and beyond.

A Bit About Red District's Blackened Spirit:
Sar Nath started out of the ashes of the more traditional black metal, "Skarnek" - which was laid to rest with the realization that it's sole-member had not only creative, but dangerous, mental issues that were made much worse by the activity of a project that donned the moniker of his very real and destructive alter-ego. No longer was it a playful, cathartic, and relieving activity to have such a destructive side being active in any way. "Skarnek" was the musician's alias through a very tragic, horrible, and bereaved time in life. Creating under that name ceased to be harmless.
So, for therapeutic reasons, as well as a change in lifestyle and mindset; the not-so-new name, Sar Nath, was employed. After all, that was the previous alias when performing black metal before the valley was reached. It felt like a new beginning (and in many was ), as well as a rekindling with what felt like an old friend. Sar Nath, while dark, viscous, and formidable still; was melancholic, sentimental, and artistic. Within the black metal sound, this produced what many know to be DSBM. And while "depressive, suicidal black metal" might be fitting in sound - it does not entirely confine the project. Lyrical themes only partially touch on the style's usual subjects. A deeper delving is needed for the doomy blackness, which also features classic metal-flavored leads, strange ambiance and noise, and a variety of vocal techniques, all with heavy exploration of what our spirits are capable of...and what horrors await. One should NOT see Sar Nath as a good-guy saviour of it's host. The back-story is just a story. There is much darkness in which to drown. So take heed, and "May the darkness feed you."
